The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, stating that any violation of the ceasefire agreement will be “answered with fire.” Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the IDF spokesman, emphasized the military’s determination to enforce the ceasefire, with airstrikes and operations continuing in southern Lebanon to maintain security.
Hagari confirmed that IDF troops are still positioned in southern Lebanon, including areas marked for a gradual withdrawal in line with the ceasefire. He reiterated that the IDF’s mission remains focused on ensuring compliance with the ceasefire and neutralizing any threats. The military continues to patrol Lebanese skies, collecting intelligence and remaining prepared for any necessary action.
Throughout the day, the IDF responded to violations by detaining suspects approaching restricted zones, firing warning shots, and eliminating terrorist operatives. Hagari also pointed out that areas in southern Lebanon are currently off-limits to civilians, as the Lebanese Armed Forces gradually take over the region. He urged Lebanese citizens to avoid the areas where IDF forces are stationed to ensure their safety.
In his briefing, Hagari highlighted the significant damage inflicted on Hezbollah’s infrastructure during the conflict, with over 12,500 Hezbollah sites, including 360 in Beirut’s southern suburbs, targeted by the IDF. He also referred to Hezbollah as a key Iranian asset that has now been severely weakened.
