The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fired warning shots at several vehicles approaching the village of Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon, near the border town of Metula, in an effort to enforce the newly implemented ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. The vehicles entered an area where movement is prohibited under the terms of the agreement, prompting the IDF to act.

After the shots were fired, the vehicles reportedly turned back, and no casualties were reported. The IDF did not release additional information about the identities of those involved in the incident. This marks a continued effort by Israel to maintain security along the border while adhering to the ceasefire terms, which took effect early this morning.

A video filmed by a Lebanese man who had returned to Kafr Kila revealed the extensive destruction caused by recent fighting, though no Israeli military presence was visible in the footage. Despite the ceasefire, the IDF remains stationed in certain regions of southern Lebanon as part of a phased withdrawal, which will take place over the coming weeks.

The IDF has warned Lebanese civilians to avoid returning to their villages until the full withdrawal of Israeli troops is complete. Additionally, Israel’s air defense systems remain on high alert, with the Israeli Air Force prepared to respond if security threats emerge. The ongoing enforcement of the ceasefire signals Israel’s commitment to upholding the fragile agreement while ensuring safety on both sides of the border.
