Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that his discussions with US President-elect Donald Trump since the election have centered on the Iranian threat and the strengthening of US-Israel ties. Netanyahu said the conversations have been crucial in aligning the two countries’ perspectives on Iran, highlighting the shared urgency over the issue.

He also expressed concerns about rising antisemitism in Europe, particularly after recent violent attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam. Netanyahu drew a direct connection between these incidents and ongoing international legal proceedings against Israel at the International Criminal Court, warning that both serve to undermine Israel’s right to defend itself.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar echoed Netanyahu’s remarks, decrying the dangerous form of antisemitism aimed at weakening Israel. Netanyahu stressed the importance of confronting these threats, asserting that Israel will continue to take all necessary actions to protect its citizens. “We will never allow the horrors of history to repeat themselves,” he vowed.
